Samuel Oboh, recipient of the Coronation Medal of King Charles III

Abidjan, 10 September 2024 - It is with great pride that we celebrate the award of the Coronation Medal of King Charles III to Samuel Oboh, a renowned architect and one of the key speakers at the CAP GREEN event held on 16 and 17 April.

This recognition is a visible tribute to the remarkable contributions of individuals from diverse backgrounds across Canada. It highlights those who have made significant contributions to their communities, and we couldn't be happier to see Samuel receive this well-deserved honour.

When he spoke at our conference entitled ‘Building differently: green infrastructure and green financing levers’, Mr Oboh captivated the audience with his innovative vision and enlightened leadership. He highlighted the importance of rethinking infrastructure for a sustainable future, while inspiring a dialogue on the critical issues facing contemporary architecture. His participation in our event not only enriched the discussions, but also demonstrated CAP GREEN's attraction to renowned speakers who are ready to tackle the most topical issues.

We are honoured to have Samuel Oboh as one of the world-renowned experts working with us. He embodies the expertise and competence we seek and promote with CAP GREEN, reflecting our commitment to bringing together the best voices in their respective fields.

Nominated by Marie-Louise Gidaro, Samuel Oboh has distinguished himself through his unwavering commitment to innovation and sustainability in architecture. His achievements have not only left their mark on Canada, but have also inspired a global dialogue on the importance of architecture in creating more humane and resilient communities, such as his contribution to CAP GREEN.

The medal ceremony will take place on 7 October 2024, World Architecture Day, during the RAIC Architecture Congress in St. Andrews, New Brunswick. We look forward to seeing Samuel shine at this event, and hope that this award will mark the beginning of even bolder achievements.
